What a night! From the energy in the room to the generosity on display, we are so grateful to everyone who joined us, supported us, and helped make the evening such a powerful success.
Together we raised over $1.35 million to fund low-barrier inclusive social and recreational programming for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Thank you for helping the JCC of Greater Vancouver support all members of our diverse community; it truly means the world.
During the event, Al Murdoch’s voice and presence set the tone for the evening while our legendary live auctioneer, Howard Blank, brought the hype! Supported by our incredible RBC and JCC volunteers, they were truly a dream team that came together beautifully to help us raise important funds for community programming.
RBC Paralympian Austin Smeenk spoke about what it takes for athletes to achieve at the highest level, reminding us that the extended support of those around us is crucial. Bob Lenarduzzi introduced Whitecaps legend and fan favourite Carl Valentine, the deserving recipient of the 2026 Jack Diamond Sports Personality of the Year award, who underlined the importance of community service and inclusion.
Sports Dinner’s first female moderator, Ashton Lawrence, was excellent in conversation with our guest speaker, NBA Hall-of-Famer and Canadian icon Steve Nash, who inspired us with valuable insight on sport, success, and his deep commitment to community engagement, youth development, and philanthropy.
Congratulations to our Pick Your Perfect Ride and 50/50 Raffle winners, and to everyone who won those coveted online silent and live auction items. Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, placed bids, and raised your paddles for Support-A-Cause; your participation helped make an incredible impact in our community.
